Directions for this Self-Esteem Activity
You’ll start the activity by providing the student(s) with a list of possible strengths/attributes. The list is important because teenagers struggle identifying their strengths on their own. Similar to a fill in the blank test; students do better when you provide them with a word bank to choose from.
The student(s) will review the provided list and highlight their personal strengths. Depending on their age level, students can write their strengths on an index card (easy to place in their purse/wallet) or add their strengths to a fun image. I tell my students to put their list/image on their bathroom mirror so they can read it everyday as they’re getting ready.
